OSB (Oriented Strand Board) panels – Types and sizes

The OSB panels are modern, environmentally friendly material made of woodchips, oriented in all directions, connected with a water and temperature resistant adhesive. They appear in the United States in the mid-20th century as an innovation in construction. Their application in Europe begins much later, and in our lands they appear at the beginning of the 21st century.

The OSB panels are usually made in dimensions of 1220/2440 and thickness of 9, 12, 15, 18mm. The quality of the panels is marked with I, II, III, which is also of very high quality.

Application of OSB panels

This material is used in many phases of the construction process.

It is used for roof flooring, as a wooden construction, as substrate for floors, even as formwork. But lately this material is mostly used for building mounted and energy efficient buildings .Formwork clamps are used for the formation of the concrete wall formwork. They are made of high quality steel which allows multiple usages.
